Daniel Tan is the Head of Electronic Communications Surveillance at Standard Chartered Bank, where he provides global strategic leadership for communications surveillance across multiple jurisdictions. With more than 25 years of experience spanning leading international financial institutions, including Standard Chartered, JPMorgan, Julius Baer, Bank of America Merrill Lynch and Macquarie, he has extensive expertise in conduct risk, regulatory compliance, communications surveillance, Artificial Intelligence (AI), RegTech and large-scale transformation initiatives. Daniel's current focus is on the application of AI and emerging technologies to strengthen risk management, enhance market conduct oversight and support evolving regulatory expectations. He regularly collaborates with industry peers, regulators and technology providers on the future of communications surveillance and compliance innovation.
