Biography

Shaune Lim is the CEO of Assured Asset Management (AAM), a Singapore-based MAS CMS-licensed private markets firm specializing in alternative assets and frontier technology investments. AAM provides professional and institutional investors with direct access to high-quality private market opportunities, with a portfolio spanning category-defining technology companies including Anthropic, Cohere, SpaceX, CoreWeave and Lambda Labs. Under Shaune's leadership, AAM structured and launched its inaugural Variable Capital Company (VCC), built a cross-border distribution team, and developed a repeatable platform for distributing pre-IPO and private equity solutions to ultra-high-net-worth individuals, family offices and wealth intermediaries across Singapore, Taiwan and Malaysia. Prior to joining AAM, Shaune spent over a decade in institutional capital markets. As Director at Mizuho Securities Asia in Hong Kong, he led fixed income sales and intermediary distribution across Singapore and Hong Kong, and was ranked #1 in The Asset's Best Individuals in Asian Local Currency Bonds in 2018, and top-four in 2016–2017. Earlier, he held Vice President roles at Credit Suisse covering private bank distribution across Asia, and prior to that served at HSBC Private Bank in Singapore and Daiwa Securities Singapore. Shaune holds a Kellogg-HKUST Executive MBA (ranked #1 globally), and holds the Chartered Valuer and Appraiser (CVA), Certified Financial Planner (CFP) and International M&A Expert (IM&A) designations. He moderated a session on AI in financial services at the Asia Risk Congress 2024 and represented AAM at the NVIDIA AI Summit Japan 2024. He is based in Singapore.
