Biography

Anant Saxena is a Managing Director at Standard Chartered Bank in Singapore, where he leads the Group's Global Stress Testing and Valuation in Resolution (ViR) functions. He is responsible for regulatory stress testing, recovery and resolution planning, and valuation capabilities supporting engagement with key regulators across the UK, Singapore, Hong Kong, and other jurisdictions. Anand's work focuses on integrating stress testing and scenario analysis into business planning, strategic decision-making, and capital allocation. He is particularly passionate about ensuring that regulatory capabilities deliver meaningful commercial insights and support better management decisions. A CFA Charterholder, Anand serves on the Board of Directors of PRMIA (Professional Risk Managers' International Association). He holds an MBA in Finance and is trained as a Computer Engineer. Over a career spanning banking, risk, and finance, he has worked across the UK, India, the Middle East, and Asia, and is currently based in Singapore.
