Biography

Julien Romand leads BNP Paribas’ Derivatives Clearing franchise for institutional clients across the Asia-Pacific region. With more than a decade of experience in the derivatives market, he is responsible for shaping clearing strategy and delivering tailored solutions to both bank and non-bank financial institutions. Julien joined BNP Paribas in November 2019 in Frankfurt, Germany, as the Institutional Sales Lead for Derivatives Execution & Clearing, covering Germany and Austria. In December 2023, he was promoted to Head of Derivatives Clearing for Financial Institutions APAC and relocated to Singapore. Prior to joining BNP Paribas, Julien spent nearly seven years at Societe Generale Corporate & Investment Banking as Prime Brokerage and Clearing Sales in Paris and Frankfurt. He holds a Master’s degree in International Corporate Finance from ISC Paris and an Honours Master’s in Financial Risk Management from Cergy Paris Université.
